Delta Tables?

Anybody know anything about Delta tables? Can't find anything on the web about them. Found a used 9ft one locally for 200 bucks, trying to research it a little bit before I go look at it. I'm thinking it's along the lines of the tables you see in furniture stores, offered at "wholesale prices". Hoping someone here may have used one, owned one, or worked on one at some point. Thanks.

I've worked on Delta tables before. They were made in the US. Alot a 1pc slates the frame wouldn't hold a decent level. Mostly I see alot of low end models which have seen better days. The problem you might run into is a couple hundred to move the table and It probably needs cushions and cloth.

I am not sure if it is the same manufacturer but I had a Delta 88 that was an eight footer for a long time. I did have to put new cushions on it but it played descent after that. I took some time and shimed the slate so it was level. The rails weren't as solid as a better table so they were a little dead compared again to a good table. Like the saying goes your mileage may very.

How hard would it be to move myself? I figured with a couple friends, a U-Haul with a lift, and some elbow grease we could move it to my place easily. Leveling it would be the tricky part, and I have no idea where to even start doing that.

Picking up a one piece 8ft slate is not that big of a deal, it weighs about 380lbs or so. If you're going to move the table yourself, pick up a dolly from U-haul to move the slate with. You don't need a lift gate truck. Just use some sense when taking the table apart and moving it, or hire someone that does this regularly. You'd be surprised at how many mechanics won't move a one piece slate...yet the tables are all over the place...and got there somehow;)
