The problem is you are asking for people to make offers.. Just post the price that you want for the lathe then you will stop getting these silly offers..Good luck with your sale.

I agree 100%. I look at a price and if I like it I buy it, if I don't like it I don't. I never bicker over a price and I very seldom ask for a price and I don't believe I have ever offered a price for something in my life. I don't want to over pay and I don't want to insult the seller either. I was at the DCC this past Sat. and there were three booths with items I may have purchased and two of which had DVDs and books that I was interested in but none of those three had any prices on their products, so, nothing was purchased.
Max told me the offers that were made. Most really were almost insults, especially since he stated it was not a distress sale. The highest offer was only about 1/3 the new price he paid for it only a few months ago. Normally my machines that are a few years old will bring at least 2/3 new price. That machine looks just about mint condition. So 3/4 of new price would be about right. He had over $2000 (new cost) in lathe and extras laid out there in the pictures.
I do agree posting the asking price is a good idea.
