Dennis and SVB vs. Sky and JB

Rumors floating around on Facebook that SVB is the partner for Dennis while playing Sky and Justin Bergman in a Scotch Doubles match. I can't really imagine Dennis and SVB playing on a team right now after the barking that's been going on.

Sky seems to be saying that the match is called off for now until details are worked out. Would be interesting to see SVB and Dennis vs. Sky and JB but I definitely think Sky and Justin win this one hands down.

Personally I don't see anyone against Shane and Dennis winning "hands down". All the talk between them makes me doubt this match will ever happen though.

You know, this comment cracks me up. With SVB and Dennis you have two of the very most accomplished players alive. Both are still in their prime. Neither Bergman or Woodward have ever won anything of note on a real pool table and there is a chance they never will. Nor have either one of these two distinguished themselves in any way against toy international competition. Both have potential, which only means they haven`t done anything yet.

If this match goes off, I'll lay a comfortable bet on Dennis/SvB with you taking Sky and Justin.

It would be hard to improve on this post. In a long race, this match has blowout written all over it.

I would respectfully disagree with this. Bergman won the Southern Classic One Pocket. Sure, it is not a rotation event, but it is something "of note on a real pool table". Some of the no-names he beat on his way to this title include Pinegar and some guy named Bustamante (he may have also beaten Corey Deuel as well).

In any case, Justin has a long history of standing up under pressure in long gambling matches.

Additionally Shane is not known for stellar scotch doubles play with anyone much less Orcullo whom he seems to have a barking beef with right now. I like the young guns in this as well.

Except for when he and Rodney Morris won the World Cup of Pool in 2008
i think they can put the beef aside for a big enough bet and run over these young guns
i'd have to take the veterans hands down

"Hands down" is a little strong.
I'd say they have a shot of course.

Shane and Dennis were partners in pacman scotch doubles 10 ball tournament last year and did not play well together at all....

They crashed out in 1st round
To add insult to injury, they lost to a teenage pair (a girl and a boy)
Also this is scotch doubles which is different ball game from singles
A pair of elite players SVB/Orcullo isnt exactly invincible against a less elite pair Sky/Bergman since in scotch doubles , other factors like chemistry, rapport, pressure make a difference. Sky/Bergman have better chemistry with each other than SVB/Orcullo
OP's words "hands down" may be bit strong but I would take Sky/Bergman in this matchup (P.S. I do not gamble)

Lol, the nits on here won't take that ratio anyway.

Even after the hooting of "hands down" beating that the young guns will deliver.

Your right
