Dennis Dieckman Carom Cue

This is a Dennis Dieckman Carom Cue that he custom made for me.
I don't have many cues in my collection that I had custom made. So this one is really special. Not only is the cue from a good cuemaker, it is from a good friend.

Dennis was top of the field on Butterfly cues for many years. Others are just starting to pull off really nice butterfly designs in the last several years. Dennis built traditional full length butterfly cues even when they were really hard to sell because he believed they made a superior cue. He also taught a class to our International Cuemakers Association members several years ago on butterfly work at the SBE. Some in that class have went on to build some great butterfly cues.
I give Dennis credit for showing me how to do the below style of butterfly work.

Yes, the shafts are externally threaded.
