Dennis vs Ko, race to 100, 20K.

Ko just missed the side pocket scratch. 1-6 tied up. Not sure what Ko was trying as he hit them hard. Left 1 open but Dennis missed it. Ko runs out and now leads 18-17

Ko makes the one on the break but cue ball is kissed in. Dennis ties it up again. 18-18

Dry break. Ko playing a difficult rack, then misses an easy 5. Dennis jumps it and comes around 3 rails for 6. 19-18.

Dennis makes a ball. 6-7!tied up and Dennis just misses shape for the window. He hangs the 5 trying to get to a spot to play safe. Ko misses the 5 trying to break them out. and gets the break out. Dennis runs out. 20-18.

Players taking a 10 or 20 minute break. I may not be back.

Tony is a great commentator! He's also an excellent professional instructor, an accomplished pro player, a popular tour director, not to mention one heck of a nice guy! His lovely wife Gail also knows her way around a pool table quite well...she's a national champion player! What a unique couple...great ambassadors for the sport.

Tony Robles should do commentary more often.

Ko breaks wet, and starts off with a combination.

Halfway throgh, his belt and pants look like they're about to fall off.

Tucks everything, yawns, sighs... and finishes off another B/R.

Package up to 4.

22-20 Pin Yi Ko

Another wet break by Ko, four-railer around to the foot corner this time.

Roadmap

5-pack

23-20 Huna (as in Big Ko)

Wow after the break, Ko comes back with 5 pack to lead 23-20.
First sign of Ko break coming together when he B&R to tie 17-17
Didnt catch those 5 racks after the break. I thot they were away for longer break

Wet break. Four rails around again.

Not a roadmap. Ko needs a long first shot, and two combos. Misses the 1-ball.

Dennis hasn't seen the table in 6 games. Has to duck, starting safety battle.

Dennis gets the first reasonable shot, and gets out. Pretty impressive after sitting so long. Stone cold.

23-21, Ko

Dennis to break. He practiced the break during the interim (IMO, he shouldn't have been able to), and he was killing it.

Dennis plays safety on 1- Ko hits it but scratches. Dennis runs out to trail 22-23 and he is breaking

Monstrous wet break, second ball into the side (Shane break) and a four railer around. Hit this break all the time, and the game gets easy.

But... Dennis needs to duck. Got a bad break on a ball crawling in the way. Poor safety, but no sellout.

Safety battle

Beautiful kick by Ko, but gets the brutal roll for the scratch. If he had done this just once during the World 9-ball, Shand would have steam-rolled him

Dennis with BIH, runs a phenomenal out (remember this game on a replay, 5-ball to the 6-ball).

Dennis to break

23-22 Ko,

Dennis with another world class out, slow, straight back bank on the 2-ball on this extremely tight table.

23-23 Dennis to break

Dennis hits the break beautifully... but surprising dry.

Tough layout, but Ko makes it look pretty easy

24-23 Ko to break

Ko breaks, makes a three balls on the break, but gets a horrendous roll, and the cueball gets kicked in the corner.

Cosmo with BIH for Dennis.

{Note: a surprising number of 9-ball shots are being shot back up table. I think the tightness of the table is forcing them to play short position.}

ANd..... Dennis ends up dead straight on the 10-ball and DOGGGGGGGGGS it.

And Ko get up ... and DOGGGGGGS it! But no sellout.

Dennis to bank straight back.... and drills it.

24-24 Dennis to break.... after a step outside....
