Gotta give Niels Feijen his propers, coming this far in a field of 96 thoroughbred champions from around the world.

In this picture, he reminds me of a mighty Nordic Viking. Niels is very tall. I read an article sometime ago that people in The Netherlands were taller than the rest of the world. The average height of a man from The Netherlands is 6'1":

The Dutch were not noted for their height until recently. It was only in the 1950s that they passed the Americans, who stood tallest for most of the last 200 years, said John Komlos, a leading expert on the subject who is professor of economic history at the University of Munich in Germany. He said the United States has now fallen behind Denmark.

Many Dutch are much taller than average. So many, in fact, that four years ago the government adjusted building codes to raise the standards for door frames and ceilings. Doors must now be 7-feet, 6 1/2-inches high.

If you see Neils stroke, he lines up the stick below the right eye. That is mainly because he is near blind something like 20-100 in the other eye. Pretty good shooter for one eye. Not bad for 2 as a matter fo fact.

I did not know that. You are right, he is phenomenal to play as excellent as he does with a vision challenge like that. Sometimes a challenge like that makes all other senses stronger. In a strange sort of way, the vision challenge may have contributed to the success of his game. He may have tried that much harder to make things work right.

I know Niels has a girlfriend, but it's gotta be said. He sure is easy on the eyes! :grin-square:

Shouldnt you have the cue lined up under your dominent eye.
