So is everyone here going to the DCC? i figure $8 to watch some of the best in the country play aint that bad of a price. I have lived in louisville all my life and never heard about the dcc untill this year.

Should you go to the Derby City Classic ???.....ONLY IF YOU'RE ALIVE !!! - NO, LET ME AMEND THAT - I WOULD LIKE TO THINK THE GHOSTS OF ALL THE POOL PLAYERS NO LONGER WITH US, WILL ALSO BE THERE.....I've gone every year, and this tournament is as good as it gets - as good or better then the old Johnson City tournaments - the best bank, one pocket, and 9 ball players in the world, under one roof ! - the tournament play, and the after hours action, are the best you'll ever see in one place.....And the tournament room, seating, and food are jam up.....So, if you love GIANT pool/action, Call in sick to work, Buy your wife mega-xmas presents, Fly in from the west, east or south coasts - Do whatever you have to do, but don't miss this tournament ( and no, i don't work for diamond tables/products - i just get that enthusiastic when a pool venue is this good ).............Ghost

I only wish i had gone to all the past derby city tournaments. now i can't wait.

the dcc is really just a week full of tournament play, non-stop action and the breakfast buffet aint bad either. it also has goods from the best in the business. there is alot of cue action also, if your a collector or are in the market. it shouldnt be missed if at all possible. ceasars riverboat is about 15 minutes away also.

JOB tournament

Anyone going to play in the JOB Tournament in Madison, Tn (Nashville)? It's the week before the Derby City Classic if I'm not mistaken.

Bernie (Vernie Elliott) said to tell you hello and that you may leave there (Derby City) with some money since he wasn't going to be there.

I look foward to the DCC more than Christmas!!!! I have been to everyone and unless the good Lord says otherwise I don't ever plan on missing one. The tournament play is great, after hour's action keeps me up between 4-5am, and I get to drool over thousands of cues. I'm actually thinking about playing in the 9 ball portion this year. Hope to maybe put some faces to these user names if anyone else is going.

This just goes to show how badly pool is marketed.
He lives in Louisville, plays pool, and has never heard of the Derby City Classic.

I have only been playing seriously for about 1 year but still, you'd think I would have heard of it.
