I would like to go to the derby city classic this year but I really don't know that much about it. Where is a good place to stay? How much am I looking to spend on a room? I figure there will be price hikes. What is the best days to be there? Any info would be helpful. Thanks guys/girls, Dirks

IMHO it is always best to go either the first weekend or for the end of the one pocket/start of the 9 ball.
The first weekend they have the ring games and all the champions will be there to compete for the all around title. Players have just arrived and all the stake horses still have all their barrells.
At the start of the 9 ball all the players that are coming are in attendance by now. There will be more players willing to gamble now that all short stops are in attendance. The downside is some gamblers are already busted now, especially this year housed in a casino.
