Designing a custom cue - templates?

I'm designing my own custom cue with the help of an amazing cue-maker. I have some time due to the waiting list and I was wondering if anyone has any tips on how I might play with some ideas.

Does anyone have photoshop or image templates of a cue and veneers with different woods or is everyone just sketching it out on paper and working with their cue maker?

I have used microsoft paint to play with veneer colors / combinations

Your cue-maker is the person to look to because he is the one that has to create what you come up with.
