Does Bob Jewett or Dave Alciatore or for that matter anyone, have a diagram of a pool table which has the line graph of diamonds overlayed WITH cue ball and object ball positions for Full Ball, 3/4 ball, 1/2 ball, 1/4 ball and 1/8 ball?

I feel like I have seen something like this previously and will do my due diligence but if you have something like this at hand, please share a link or photo.

Thanks,
JoeyA

Joey,

You might find the info and template on the following page helpful:

estimating cut shots at the table

You might also like the diagrams from Patrick Johnson in the quote section here:

fractional-ball aiming

if you are unhappy i will send you a check for your out of pocket cost
its the nuts for your question
p.s. i am still waiting for that onepocket drill

Does this book contain the diagrams for fractional aiming and position of balls on a graph overlay on the pool table?

Thanks,
JoeyA

"Poolology" is only $10 for the ebook. It lays out how the position of the OB and CB, correlates with the diamonds on the table. You'll be able to find the exact fractional hit to pocket any ball into any pocket. Fantastic new book. You can see the reviews in the "Aiming" thread toward the bottom of the forum.

So you're suggesting the ebook instead of the perfect bound book? ;-)

If anyone runs across Nate (Black Nate) who must be in his middle to late 70's, he would be the one to show the one pocket drill that he and Earl Heisler used to do. Maybe I can get some of the old school boys to have a go at diagramming it on the pool table. Keep after me and I will try to get a consensus of opinion. BTW, Nate was GREAT at it.....................Nate used to give me 10-5 back in the day for $50 a game but I think that bet only lasted two games.

This book has helped me greatly with my game!

It has already helped me some. I worked on some of the shots for a while today. And tmrw and probably the next day too.

I knew a little about half ball hit etc. but never knew how to use it.

the accuracy is amazing.

Is this the way a person might be taught snooker?

thx

Check out www.thesnookergym.com

He has something called the 'aim frame' that lets you measure out fractional aiming shots.

It allows you to set up practice shots anywhere on the table...and the really great thing about it is that the angles are set to account for cue ball throw.

Thanks! Nic Barrow seems to have a complete Snooker package available.

I'll catch hell, but I don't believe the diagram is correct. Take the middle example. That is certainly not a 1/2 ball shot. It's more like a 1/3 ball hit. 1/2 hit on the middle shot will hit the 1 diamond on the end rail. I stand corrected; the 2 ball is over a bit and not exactly on the cross grid. My mistake.

According to the system you like it is a 1/2 ball. Nothe the 2 is NOT on the 20/30 grid line. More like 16/30= 1/2 ball hit.

Oh, now I see the 2 ball is over a bit. At first glance I just assumed it was sitting on the cross grid. My mistake.
