Diamond Pocket Repair

I have 36 pockets with broken attaching nuts.
My idea is to drill through the plastic and use T-nuts like in the pic.
Does anyone have a better way?
Also what kind of glue for attaching the leather?

I know you asked about fixing them, but your best bet is going to be replacing them. I have tried to repair those just like this with the t-nut, and while it sorta works, it is not right. You will get the in print of the t-nut come through the leather on the top, and it is nearly impossible to get the leather stuck back down to the plastic rim so it doesn't come up when you install the pocket back in the table.

For the headache that is involved with the repair, I choose to replace the pockets.

Just my $0.02

Yeah, I could see just mocking it up that the nut was leaving an imprint.
Too bad it doesnt sound like its gonna work. Really didn't want to spend $400 a set for 6 tables.
Gonna at least give this a shot.
