Diamond pocket sizes?

The one piece table has only one major advantage..... it can be moved without taking it apart. That's why they use them in tournaments. When you have 30 tables to set up, you cant be pissing around long. The venues have schedules that need to be adhered to.

Does the Predator one piece table need to be disassembled prior to moving?

UPDATE. Predator response: They just told me that table has 4.25" corners and 5" sides. Also, one-piece version is for tournament usage only. Public sale models will be 3pc slates.

Hope the public sale models will have 4.5" sides.
These are the specs the guy just told me. Have any doubts contact Pred. directly. On FB they reply pretty quick. You want at least 1/2" bigger sides than corners. Not much diff. in 4.75 and 5". What you're describing is a gaff table imo.

I'm kinda surprised they went that much larger on the side instead of going 4.75

No big deal. Still tough action. .25" ain't enough to sweat. Probably plays fine too. People so overthink this shit its unreal.

I'm old and often confused. I meant to say that I hope the public sale models will have 4.5" corners.

That’s odd that they would have 4.25 corners with 5” sides. The trend nowadays are side pockets a max of 1/2” bigger than corners.

To be honest they probably are. Until i know someone who's taken a tape to these things i'm dubious as to all info. I doubt the guy at Predator that told me this stuff has actually measured one. No big deal either way. They look like they play good just based on matches i watched.

Yes, that is because any side pocket tighter than 4.75” is just so tight that it completely changes the game.
Tell me about it! After the Diamond crew recently recovered my early 90s 9’ Pro (originally ordered with the larger GC-style pocket option), I’m now missing 90% of all the steep-angled side pocket shots that I used to make!
I made the mistake of mentioning to them about how it was unfortunate I couldn’t reduce the pocket sizes without buying all new rails. So, they added thicker facings when they installed the new cushions. Now, unless I’m right in front of a side pocket, everything goes to a corner (which, luckily, still drops quite nicely unless overhit).
