Diamond Pockets Question

I played in the Bank Pool tournament at Brickyard Billiards this past weekend. On a couple of their Diamond tables that were newly recovered it looked as if they had replaced the old pockets with some new ones. They were unlike any Diamond pockets I have ever seen. They were leather on the top like usual, but the inside was some kind of nylon mesh type of material. I really liked them and am thinking about getting some for my Diamond as the pockets need to be replaced. Is this a new type of pocket Diamond came out with?
 
You may want to ask this in the Ask a Mechanic section, it may be seen sooner by the people in the know. You could also try to PM RKC.
 
The new 10 footer at micheals has pockets like this and so does brumbacks table that was the derby tv table a few yrs back when he won the all around I think they are awesome and I asked Greg about it and he said it was something they were trying..,hope they keep it.

In a conversation with RKC he mentioned that Diamond was now soaking thier pockets in some sort of solution to stop the black marks but, my Pro AM does not have the new design/treated materials. If you post in the mechanics section someone should be able to advise on this.

It's a new style of drop pocket Diamond is playing around with at the moment:grin:
 
Diamond Professionals are only available with drop pockets. We have offered pockets with a nylon basket instead of leather for more than a year now. Just ask for them when you order your table.
