Diamond Pool Table Installation -- Tip?

I'm having a pro-am delivered and installed and was wondering if it's proper to tip the installation guys. From what I understand, it comes from the factory completely assembled except for the legs, so all they really have to do is install the legs and level it? Unless I'm missing something? Anyway, a tip doesn't seem appropriate in this case, but I just didn't want to be the ahole. Thoughts?

Yep

Hell, I tip my house man at the pool room, all he has to do is hand me some balls.
I'm sure these guys would be very happy to get a $20 this time of the year:thumbup:

That would be totally up to you.. If you want to tip the installers go ahead and tip them. If you dont then dont tip them. All I can tell you is as a table mechanic and a custom cue builder. If someone tips me it is very much appreciated. And even if they dont tip. They still get the best service that I can provide.!! To me its like going to a buffet. Do I tip. Of course I do. I dont tip the same amount that I would at a full service place. How ever I do tip accordingly to anyone that takes care of me.

I would say 50% of people tip. I would base it on service. Did they take extra care not to scratch you floors? Did do a good job leveling your table? There's probably l little bit more involved than what your imagining.

I tipped my GC4 installers 100. I felt they did an excellent job and were there several hours. I also had some table modifications I made (height increasing devices) that they added during the installation.

I doubt I would have tipped the same amount for a table that took considerably less time, but I would have still tipped the installer.

I can also say I cut lawns for 10 yrs and also did cue repair for 5 or 6 yrs. I rarely got a tip from my customers, but when I did, it really made my day. Even if it was just a few bucks.

I tipped my mechanic with food, electricity, showers and beverages.. If they were not friends of mine, only a cash tip would suffice for a job well done.

Its not the quantity of money that matters but the notion that the customer appreciates what you do for them, especially when you go beyond what is expected.
