I think this thread has alot of useful information in it. People can take the pros and cons and help make an informed decision on who/how they can get their next table.

Personally I would of been very disappointed regarding the delivery date of the pool table, but would of understood the circumstances considering you are actually speaking with the delivery person that has the merchandise. Its not like your checking out the shipping information for something thats lost or caught up in UPS delivery.

Few things that I still would take from this thread.
1. Diamond pool tables are great items and the quality is superb.
2. Glen more than enough and goes above and beyond what is required or asked of him by Diamond.
3. Glens skills setting up a table and providing a quality table are great. I would have him drop a table in Michigan if I ordered one.
4. Diamond needs to work on their customer service issues to go along with a quality product.
5. Delivery expectations should be addressed in detail regarding what assistance if any will be required. Rather than is X amount of dollars. If I spent 5000.00 on a table and also had a delivery fee, I would expect that I would not be involved moving/lift/setting up this table. I would help if needed, but I wouldnt expect to help, heck my wife might be home and she wouldnt be lifting a table.
6. Seems like Gary should still be entitled to any repairs/misc issues regarding his Diamond product in the future that would of been standard with any warranties/implied warranties.
7. Gary needs to play more pool and spend less time typing! :)
 
All this could have been avoided with better communication between the customer,Diamond and the installer.
This is why you purchace with a credit card.If Diamond doesn't stand behind a writen agreement then disput the charge breach of contract.If you haven't anything in writing from Diamond covering your agreement of parts and warranty then you made a mistake.
I've had to contact customers and rescedule do to weather and recks.Don't wait and call the customer after your already suppose to be at the home.Things happen on the road we as installer's can't prevent but aslong as you communicate with the customer when and where the problems are generaly solved peacefully.
