can anyone tell me the differences between the 2 models? if you could have either one which one would it be? and this is going into an upstairs bonus room so can someone tell me the weights for 7ft, 8ft, 9ft, pro and pro ams. thanks for all the help sorry for all the question but im really struggling with picking a table.

heres my response...some may argue but this is my opinion.

I have played on numerous Pro and Pro-ams. If setup properly, I can not tell 1% of difference between the 2 except visual. I own a Pro-cut, 3pc slate diamond pro. It plays just like the local pro ams with 1 piece slate.

I think the pro looks much nicer and will give you an easier time to move upstairs and move in the future. I think the pro-ams look too "bar tableish" for me. I am honestly suprised how many people are going with the pro-ams lately. I understand the benefits of the 1 piece slate, but the drawbacks far outweight them IMO.

A good mechanic will be able to make the 3pc Pro play exactly the same as the 1pc slate.

I agree with all of that.

And the weight of the 9 footer is around 1,200 pounds.

I agree here! Hell I am not a table mech and I have moved and set up my 3 piece twice and you can't tell there is 3 separate pieces. And hopefully after Glens class I will be even better, hell maybe a new career is in order for me! :D

Doesn't the pro come with thicker slate versus the Proam one piece

Yes, if the Pro has a 3 piece slate, it's 30mm(1 3/16") but the same slate can be installed on a ProAm as well.

The ProAm 9ft is about 1050lbs, the 7ft ProAm is about 750lbs, and the 8ft ProAm is about 900lbs, all of which can be delivered and assembled on site upstairs or down, with a 3 piece slate. The ProAms are more poplar because they're the same tables used in all of the Diamond/BCA league tournaments, and because they're much easier to remarket if needed.
