Diamond Professional - One Improvement

After having this Diamond Professional for several days now there is one thing that I think would improve the table. Instead of the nylon pockets if it had those rubber type pockets that the Gold Crown IV has that would be awesome. The sound of the balls falling into those rubber pockets just can't be beat. But again, this is about the only thing I can see that would make the Diamond Professional better.

I put adhesive sound deadening foam on the wood where the ball hits behind the pocket and it made all the difference in the world.

The pockets are not nylon they are kevlar.

I like how mine sound but RKC also put deadner behind them.

What good did all this do? It's still a nylon pocket, not the rubber like the Gold Crown IV.

I'm lost here........
Sound is a weird subjective thing. What it did for me was take out the “thunk” sound and let me hear the balls hit the pocket quietly and then the nice “click” as the balls fill the pockets. You might say, more like a GC. Sound can be tuned.

I put some 1/8" craft foam between my professionals pockets and the outer skirt. Simple and a real improvement.
I really like my pockets, I think I can get 11-12 balls in them.

Guys,
I'm not talking about the pockets themselves. I'm talking about the sound that the balls make when they fall into the rubber pockets. The rubber pockets like the ones on my Gold Crown IV. The only way you get that sound is if instead of nylon/kevlar the balls fall into that rubber pocket.

I gotta say, I'm with ya there, no table sounds like a gold crown when you hit the center of a corner pocket with some pace.

That being said, I doubt that was a motivation in the materials used or the design, just a nice by product.

I don’t have access to either brand of table. My table has leather pockets with wooden disks at the bottom that I assume are there for the sound they make. Can you post a video of how each of your tables sound?

Hey. You are reducing this to the lowest common denominator. As for pocket noise use the Diamond app and put the pocket tones on mute. Mine is on vibrate. I’m still waiting to see how the pocket cloth was wrapped. Any V cuts showing. You keep ducking.

That is funny as fk.

What is it you want me to take a picture of?

Can you give me an example?
