Diamond professional pocket, normal?

So this is a new diamond professional. Is it normal to have this V cut into the leather of the pocket? It's on all six pockets, each side
 
I haven't done too many diamonds but never noticed a notch in any of the pockets. They also look a little inconsistent the way some are trimmed back behind the facings and the last photo seems to be on top of the facing.
 
I'm not home now, but will be tomorrow or Sunday. Will look at my professional then, but I don't remember that on my table. Could be, but I don't remember seeing it. Yes the rails are done at the factory, but pockets are installed by the installer. I'll post pictures of mine when I get home. If I have cuts in mine, it's not from the installer as I helped the installer install them and I didn't for sure make any cuts in mine.
