I finally recently purchased a diamond table after wanting one for maybe 20 years or maybe the first time I played on one at sbx Whenever that was (im getting old lol) It amazes me how much they have increased in price. I bought it new for 2 reasons. 1) Once I decided to pull the trigger I’m not good at waiting for a used one to come a long lol 2) honestly your not saving that much money!
I paid $6750 and that included first floor delivery. I just saw diamond advertise on facebook they were leaving vegas. (I guess tournament season is done) and they are selling the tournament used table. these tables are the apa tables that have 4 3/4 inch pockets not the 4 1/4 pockets that I have on mine. They call them league cut pockets. So honestly it’s a valley with a diamond name on it lol not really. They still play better but still I want the tight pockets. THEY ARE ASKING $6000!! Why the hell would you pay that used!!
To give an example of how crazy the price has gone up a good friend of mine at the super billiards expo bought the used table, diamond light, got the wood rack and a set of super aramith pro’s delivered for $3500. That was most likely close to 15 years a go if my memory serves me correct. My best friend got a 9 footer bought and delivered from New York for I believe $3000 but that gentlemen was desperate to move it so he go it at a steal. I honestly don’t know of any modern tables holding their value like this. any other tables you can get used for pennies on the dollar And because of that I never thought I would buy a table New.

So the question if you don’t mind me asking gentlemen is when did you get your diamond and how much did you pay?

Just to add I’m not hating on diamond.. if people want to pay it that’s the market in a free market society it just amazes me is all.

Diamond 8' professional, maple wood, cherry stain.
I think it was $7800 delivered and set up. Might have been a little less, won't know till home. Right after table was delivered, they went up about $2000
Was delivered 2019 March or April, the day our gov shut the freeway down for covid, and demanded people stay home or be arrested. Dealer left at 4 in the morning to get to my place before 8am when the shutdown started.
One of the better investments I ever made.

10 Ft Diamond Pro/Am. Bought during COVID. One of the best ways I have ever wasted my money lol $11,750. Luckily I split it with my wife’s dad… So when my wife found out the money I spent, rightfully upset, her dad had my back and told her it was “a good investment” lol Thanks for the father in law keeping me out of trouble !

That is a monster to have in your home. Lol my wife and I down sized to a town house so I’m just fortunate to have it fit in my garage which I’m now going to turn into a pool room 😂 thanks for the reply.

The same reason I bought a slightly Tesla used vs new: wait time. I know some folks who are still waiting for their tables they ordered a couple months ago.
If you just get a black one you won’t have a wait time it seems. I feel like if your going to order one of the other color wood grains is when your going to wait.

I have a 9' Diamond Paragon.

I ordered 4 May 2020, the day the factory re-opened after the COVID shut down.

It was delivered directly from Diamond and installed by Diamond mechanics ("Diamond Mike" was lead installer) on 5 September 2020.

It is difficult to get exact pricing as I purchased some other things including the light, dual ball polisher, cue racks, etc. I received various discounts on various items. Things are not perfectly itemized on the receipt. My best guess:
  • 9' Diamond Paragon; Maple Rosewood; 860 Simonis: $12,000 $9,000 Edited; misread receipt
Other stuff (guesstimates):
  • 9' Diamond Light; Maple Rosewood; Rounded Corners: $1,200
  • Diamond Dual Ball Polisher: $700
  • (2) Wall Racks; Maple Rosewood: $300 ea.
  • Table Cover: $200
  • Diamond Wood Rack; Maple Rosewood: Complimentary
Plus Aramith and Centennial ball sets, bridge, ball cleaner, etc. Delivery and installation was a dirt cheap $500.

Wow. You went all in! Very nice

Saying from a guy with a Crown for a picture.
What does that have to do with anything. Crowns are great tables. I personally don’t think anyone makes a better 7 foot table than diamond but I would be fine with a gold crown if I had the room for a 9 footer. It would be a hell of a lot cheaper thats for sure lol but they play great.

I play on Diamond tables all the time at Sierra Billiards and personally, I wouldn’t want one.
There are just too many pre-owned Brunswick tables for a lot less $ than a Diamond costs.
And if you had the space, get a 10’ Brunswick instead as opposed to a getting 9’ Diamond.

9 foot table you aren’t wrong. I think as far as a 7 foot … which is what I have room for.. there is no comparison.

Well, ya got me on that point. There’s Diamond in the center ring spotlight and…..? And used 7’ Diamond tables.
The 7’ Diamond table plays the same as the 9’ version which is remarkable but using the same size pockets helps.
