Diamond table popularity

That is pretty smart marketing there , maybe the rate of descent could be faster . I'd guess sub consciously a person may play longer to to get the cheaper rate . Kind of like somebody driving across town and back to save 3 cents a gallon on gas . As to the OP , i'd like a pool room that is segregated from the bar , not really with a physical barrier , but at least where i didn't hear the conversations at the bar. Maybe a separate entrance to the pool area.

Some people go to bars to get drunk , well most . They like convenience too.

Yep, good idea to keep billiard area a bit distant from the beer spilling public !

Good for both parties.

I would strongly recommend Diamond. My only recommendation would be to actively discuss the pocket-size. Obviously, if you're planning on getting a large 1-pocket following, keeping it at 4.5" or tightening it a little might be in your interest. If you're looking to have fairly soft pockets, you might want to request going with 4.75" or 5". On the whole, the standard Diamond plays tougher than a Brunswick ESPECIALLY on older cloth. Regardless, Diamond Tables are built-to-order so if you have special requests, they can usually accommodate you.

I will say this - I think the guys at Diamond are a real pleasure to work with. They were very accommodating and very serious about Society's order and installation. I'm 100% certain if you choose to go with Diamond, you will not be disappointed.

Diamonds for sure!

I worked at a pool room for over 5 years and at one time we had 4 valley's and 16 diamond's. (7footers) People would wait to get a diamond rather than play on the valleys.
So it became so over whelming that the owner sold the valley's and bought 4 more Diamonds.
Diamnods make all the difference in the world. IMO.
Diamonds are the only way to go.

Diamond by far makes the best barbox in the world in the realm of playability and looks there is no equal.

As far as a 9 footer a nicely set up goldcrown is easily tied with a diamond but its the pockets that give the diamond a little edge, no rubber or plastic to deal with.

So given these things I would say the diamond tables are favored and a pool room with all diamonds comes up in conversation.
