Nice looking cue..better pix would help, though. Here is the write-up on Dick Coons (Elite Custom Cues) from the Blue Book:

Dick Coons ran a pool room for years in Lincoln, Nebraska. He bought and sold cues and always dreamed of making cues of his own. In 1989, his wife started running the pool room and Dick was able to start Elite Custom Cues.
Elite cues are easily identifiable by the Elite logo on the butt cap. Diamond shapes, notched diamond shapes, and knight chess pieces were common inlay themes. Dick was opposed to the use of ivory, so it will not be found on Elite cues. Dick developed his own tips, which he had custom made for him. The Elite Ultra collection featured exotic hardwoods and intricate inlays. Each Elite Ultra cue featured a Uni-Loc joint and two shafts. Dick sold the business in about 2000. He died on April 5, 2003.
