I didn't start watching '60s and '70s television until the '80s and '90s when I was growing up (after moving to the US.) So much of that era I hold dear to my heart.
dick van dyke did play some pool but not real well. jack klugman told me he did play some. we talked horses as he was into them.
he had one or so at one time. his horse came in 3rd or 4th at one kentucky derby.
then played pool. he played well. but didn't take it down. he liked gambling.
i never got an in with him as he was like 30 or so years older than me.
NY Blackie came through SoCal with Mary Kenniston while I was still around to pay attention. They had some guys down playing golf. Not a great watch. Don't know what happened. Prolly scored.
