I noticed this the other nite when I saw the IPT coverage on the Versus channel. In one scene when it is coming on, they show a suitcase full of money....only it didnt look right. Now I have gone back and looked in the Sept. '06 issue of Inside Pool Magazine (p.42-43) and I am correct. The suitcase is full of $100 bills with Grant's picture on them. Isnt Benjamin Franklin supposed to still be on a $100 bill??? I guess it really doesnt matter since the players werent paid right then and there at the conclusion of the event. Just thought maybe it was a sign of illusions and sleight of hand tricks to come from KT. Kinda like the IPT is panning out to be.

Grant is on $50 bills.

I just saw the video in question. I'm assuming they did it so they could use something that could pass as real money in quick camera shots, without opening them up to charges of counterfeiting. The "cash" was fake, for sure.

Regarless of real or fake money on camera/in person... does anyone here know what 500,000 in hundreds in looks like?

For the record, it doesnt look like much at all. You could put 500,000 in 100's in an empty tissue box, and still have room left over!

They used that cash simply as "show"!

Look at the billiard magazine ("inside pool" maybe?) with Reyes and the 200,000 on the cover. It's all 20's for a reason. That way it looks like a lot more. In 100's, there would only be 1/5 of that there.. way less impressive.

Simple test, take $100 in singles, and compare it a single $100 bill.. see the different effect?

The approximate weight of a currency note, regardless of denomination is (1) one gram. There are 454 grams in one (1) U.S. pound, therefore, there should be 454 notes in (1) one pound(Avoirdupois system).

So that one pound would be $45,400.00 in 100's. To get to $500,000.00 we need 11 lbs of 100's- Pretty impressive and not fitting in a tissue box or a shoebox either.

Well

$500,000 in an empty tissue box. WRONG! You obviously have never had 100K or more in cash. 500K will fill a small to average size briefcase. 100K will fill a tissue box.

Do you mind sending me $500k to verify your assertion? Thanks in advance.

No problem. Just send me your address and $100 to cover the postage.

He is right, I noticed it when I watched it and I have it tvo'd. They were $100 bills but they had the wrong guy on them.

Cheers,
