Did I ruin my balls?

Meguiars Scratch X 2.0 is a self diminishing polish, it keeps breaking down finer and finer.. It will not leave any scratches

Does this mean scratch x 2.0 is not?

I used to frequent the Meguiar's forum and to the best of my knowledge, no Meg products are a diminishing abrasive. Not even their 205. They both "finish" out about the same, but Menzerna still has a slight edge when you're looking for the ultimate swirl free finish. Wax doesn't give you the shine, it's all the preparation beforehand.

Here's a paste from Meguiar's forum. It's a confusing study, but at least it shows the relative properties. Most are SMAT Technology, which I always understood to keep a constant grit throughout the process. Some forum posts, even by the mods, occasionally refute this.

Aggressiveness Order for New Consumer Products - This will surprise you!

Since we introduced these 3 new swirl and scratch removers in our Consumer Line and our new M205 Ultra Finishing Polish in our Professional line, many people have asked how aggressive these new products are as compared to some of our existing products that our forum members are already familiar with to help them understand the cleaning and/or abrading ability of these new products I've listed them in order of most aggressive to least aggressive reading from left to right.

(Apologies ahead of time if you have to horizontal scroll)

Most aggressive to least aggressive -->

That would be from most to least aggressive,
M105 Ultra Cut Compound
Ultimate Compound
ScratchX 2.0
SwirlX
M83 Dual Action Cleaner Polish
M205 Ultra Finishing Polish - M80 Speed Glaze (Different types of abrasives but close in cut ability)
ScratchX (Current Version being discontinued)

So if I've just accidentally invented a ball that doesn't skid I'm going to be a millionaire. And you guys are gonna have to get a cut too.
Have you tried any of the suggested solutions? Has anything worked yet?

I'm curious, though. Are they Aramith balls? Did they come in a box with shrink-wrap that was stamped with "Aramith"? If they are and you want to get rid of them now, I'll give you $60 for them -- you pay for the shipping.
