Hi guys
My question is simple: any of you played with Keith Josey's cue?
Is it worth to spend money on?
Thanks

P.S: OMG I love the looks of his "SNEAKY PETES" =))))

i have one of his sneaky pete's with a lizard wrap and i love it. they have a stiffer hit, but once you get used to it, you can really do more with the cue ball and it seems effortless. he is a helluva nice guy to deal with too.

You can't go wrong with one of Keith's cues. His sneaky petes play great real stiff hit.

To top it off Keith is a great guy to deal with.

Thanks for respond Ironman
Maybe you could advise me which wood to go with?
And does he make wrapless cues? What's with lizard wrap ( better grip?)

visit his site at www.joseycustomcues.com and you can see all of the different styles. i highly recommend calling him and talking to him about what you want. he will make a custom cue if you like. you can't go wrong. hope this helps.

Figured I would add on. His cues are truly remarkable. They play great, look great, and hold their value exceptionally well. The couple that I have owned both played great and sold for more than what I paid for them.

I'll second this opinion. I love my Josey cue. Mine is NOT FOR SALE!

His cues play great and he stands behind his product, and no one but him will be working on your cue, his wife does the bus. part and he does the cue making. his toll free # is 1-800-514-cues if he dont answer he will return your call, tell him gary sent u. There are many great cuemakers to choose from but u will not be disapointed with a josey

i bought a Josey butt on the secondary market and sent it to Mr Josey to make 2 new shafts. it is a very solid cue, and definitely worth the money.

im playing with a wrapless Josey, sultan-2 design. do contact him, as many here have mentioned, he is a really great guy to deal with.

Love my Josey...mine is done in the old style 4 point pantograph technique. Points are even and needle sharp.

But that's secondary.

I love the feel. A stiff hit with great feedback. When I miss, I know it's not the cue's fault.

josey

I recently bought a Josey off of Ironman and Ironman is correct. Best hitting cue I have shot with. It is worth the money. Buy a Josey.

I'm a huge Josey fan after I bought one of his SP earlier this year. If you like a stiff hit, I can't imagine a better cue (especially when price is considered). I sold the first SP I bought to my brother and then immediately ordered another from him. I wanted to get the butt of the cue longer than the traditional 29". He was able to make it about 30 3/4" and the hit is still as great as the first one.

His customer service is exceptional!

Lifelong Josey fan,

Ryan

Not sure how many of these are still left, but here is what Keith had available for the US Open:

I have to tell you that as to Keith's fancy sneakies, they are definitely a
'best bang for your buck' cues! Not only do they look fantastic, but they play even better! :yeah:

His fit and finish is top notch, and he has super quality shafts. His cues also seem to hold their value well. Also, Keith and Sherri are just the nicest people, and are just a pleasure to work with. I would most definitely recommend a Josey to anyone looking for a stiffer hitting cue...all day long!

Here is a pic of one I used to own that I stupidly sold...won't make that same mistake twice:

I should add that Keith makes his fancy petes sans a weight bolt, preferring to let the wood naturally weight the cue. You may wish to keep that in mind when making your wood choice, as the ebonies and cocobolos can be denser weighted woods.

I love my Josey, and to echo what many other have stated, Keith & Sherri are outstanding people to work with. You won't be disappointed.

I agree with all the responses. The best cue I ever hit with. I would NEVER sell mine. Super nice guy too! I have never heard a bad word about the man or the cue, and these days that is rare indeed.

I play with a Josey. Ditto everything said. The hit reminds me of the feel of the sweet spot on a baseball bat.
