Did you win = In the hooole

I haven't been a pool room in over a decade. Lost my job, home, table and went broke for a couple years. Got another job and I'm back in the pool hall. I have been practicing alone. Yesterday, I go to turn the balls in and some guy at the counter goes, "Did you win?". This guy is still around? I remember when they used to say that to me years ago. There must be one of these guys in every pool hall in America. I have decided he must be the same guy you hear on TV in the golf tournaments. The one who yells "In the hooooole" every time someone tees off on a 660 yard par 5 even though there is no frickin chance that the ball would ever do that.

The mathematics of pool boil down to one simple equation. Every hour you are not practicing, someone else is practicing.....to whip your ass. Yesterday, I was that guy and you know what? Today, I am going to be that guy again.

First,Congrats on your return to playing. Second sadly there is a guy like that still around in most places and even more sadly I have a pat response because of that and that is......Nope lost again, that MF'er shoots pretty darn good!

Good shooting to ya,

Kevin

The counterman's classic.

"So boys, who won?"

"YOUR MOM.
Just kidding. What's the total?"

"$234.50"

...

I'd answer with, "No, I lost. I lost 3 more wasted hours of my life I'll never get back."
