Difference in my Two Cues.. Why is one weighted heavier in the front, and one not?

I own a Lucasi Hybrid and Adams balabushka.

I loved the hybrid for a long time, and only pulled out the bushka for fun. After awhile I used the bushka for a few days and noticed after a small adjustment period I played better with it as It had a more solid hit.

Now the Bushka has a hard tip non layered, where as the Lucasi Hybrid has a 9 layer moori medium. I am thinking some of this preference is due to the hard tip on the bushka.

I use to think the Lucasi had better english ability due to the little bit of low deflection technology in it, but now I just do better english with the Bushka.

The reason I think is because the adams bushka is more balanced weight wise, the shaft is heavier, the lucasi is rear-weighted. They seem maybe both are 19oz but the lucasi has it all in the back, and the bushka in the front and back. I started to like the balanced weight a lot.

So is there any reason a balanced weighted cue would play better? Do you think the solid hit feel that I like in my bushka is just due to the hard tip vs the lucasi's medium tip? Do you think the shaft and the tip are both combinations that make the hit more solid?

Also one other question... Is the predator 2 shaft well weighted? I know its hollow for low deflection, does this mean its light? I want to buy one for my bushka so I had LD technology but I want to keep the weight in the front and back not just the back.

Once again as I look thru the posts you have another one with no responses. You should appagolize to the cue makers, which is now up to four, and anyone else you've insulted for no reason,You really should read your posts before you hit enter. You should read back thru the threads you have been posting in because your "Warning I speak my mind" attitude is going to get you banned. This is just some friendly advice take it how you want to.

Cue preferences

Just my opinion - but I do not see anything in the above post that would merrit an apology. We all have certian preferences when it comes to cues.

The type of tip used is an important element in the performance, feel, feedback, and sound of the hit.

In my experience, balance is not a big contributor to the ability to impart english although many people do prefer a more forward balanced cue.

Try the same tip on both cues and go with what works best for you.

BTW - Adam, not Adams..... unless you are speaking in plural.... But if that's why you need to apologize - I am guilty myself.

Happy Friday the 13th....

I suspect that as your game comes together; you are going through the normal period of time when: you finally understand that nuances of cue building play a roll in the cues you will end up liking. But you have not got ot the point where your game has stabilized with which cue nuances you actually prefer.

For the most part, one can compensate for a front weighted cue by holding your hand closer to the joint, the converse is also true. So how much front or rear weightedness you end up liking has something to do with the geometry of your torso and arms and some dependence on how far over you bend while stroking the CB.

I see. I basically thought i'd have to have the same tips before I can make a proper evaluation of which cue I perform better with, and you confirmed it dwoods so ill do that and see what's what.

thanks !
