Very good question.

I usually play on 3 different tables with different cloth. Lately I've been experimenting a little: For the fast moving Simonis cloth, I use my Schon, Joss or Shurtz cues with factory shafts. For slow moving cloth tables, I use the same butts but screw on the OB-1. Reason: the OB-1 gives me more spin and movement with the cue ball. And since the cloth is slower, this helps me move around the CB. I can move the CB will less effort with the OB-1. On the Simonis, the factory shafts with factory tips move the cue ball just fine.

So essentially using different shafts, not different cues.

Most experienced players do not change cues, to play on different table sizes, or cloth (including pros). They use the same cue for everything...

Yeah I haven't heard of a pro that switches cue due to the table size. Quite frankly, I haven't heard any pool player ever switch cues due to the table size yet. I personally feel like there isn't a need switching cues.

i hadnt either but the other day at a bar box tournament a buddy was using a different cue than normal so i asked and he said he liked it better on the small tables
