Nick Faldo made an interesting comment while concering the golf tournament today. He said golfers really see better on an overcast grey day when it is not so bright.

Do any of Ya'll have a problem seeing well when the lights ate bright or when they are dim.

My eyes are not what they used to be & I certainly like it bright for pool, but I understand Faldo's comment.

By the way, Tiger needs to birdie 3 of the list 6 to shoot a 59 & it's par 70 course. It's on The Golf Channel.

Do Ya'll see I snicked that golf notice in on with pocket billiards question.

But seriously what do Ya'll think about different pool lighting? I am bringing my table home soon but am re-configuring my great room & may have to go with can lights in my 10 foot ceiling

What are Ya'lls opinions on different types of lighting?

The best lighting for any pool table is

1600-1800 lumens
5000 Kelvin
100 watt equivalent

Fixture need to have some kind of diffusers
Shade need to be solid, no holes

Diamond lights are excellent except they come with 4100 Kelvin bulbs.

I don't mind how bright or dim a table is, as long as its bright or dim all over. Can't stand playing on a table where its bright in the middle but dark around the pockets. Messes with my aim.

Do you have any suggestions to light a table with can lights from a ten(10) foot ceiling?

I'm wondering about the number & placement.
