I want to start a handicapped tournament that would not be a typical elimination style tournament.
I want a round robin style. ACS/BCA handicaps apply. Everyone plays everyone once. Scores are accumulated on a regular scale of 10 point game. Everyone has an equal chance. Player with the most points overall is the winner. See the example below:
Player A Handicap 8
Player B Handicap 5
Handicap awarded to player B=3 points.
Player A wins 10-7, player A receives 10 pts and player B receives 10 pts (7+3=10) as well.
Example 2:
Player B wins 10-6, player B receives 13pts and player A receives 6pts.
Now what is the drawback of this? I know length of tournament might come into play but what else?
