Was just checking his facebook and his daughter posted this yesterday. I hope it is ok for me to post to here.

I just want to let everyone know my dad isn't sick. He's in good health for his age. Unfortunately he was put in this nursing home because my little sister couldn't take care of him anymore. I am moving him to FL to be with his grandchildren. Its not going to be easy but im keeping the faith! He deserves to spend his days free! When I finally have him settled at home. I will go FB live with him.
🥰
Thank you again for all the love!

Reading between the lines, I think her key word is "Free". Dying in a nursing home is a terrible way to end.
Couldn't agree more. And dying because of a nursing home is similarly lamentable (and does happen).

Many thanks for the update MON. Danny and I were born in the mid-1930s within a few months of each other in NY state.

Pleased to say I've unfailingly enjoyed spending time with him since the early 1960s generally talking about boxing and Straight Pool -- two mutually shared passions.

So glad the concept of famiglia is strong in his caring and loving descendants. A lucky man to have them. That does add years to your mind & body "warrantee" when you're privileged enough to reach our "more advanced state of youth."

Arnaldo I hit the like button on this and would hit it twice if AZ would let me.🍳

Cuebuddy>>>I used the fried egg emoticon because it s rarely used.

This breaks my heart.
I pray his family does the right thing.
I'm Italian and from a huge family here in B'ham Alabama.
My mom had 10 sisters and 1 brother, there were 7 in my dad's family.
Not once in my memory did a family member spend time in a nursing home.
