It was a deja vu kind of thing but I was just thinking about Dave the other day and I was channel grazing late last night I started watching Poker After Dark. Low and behold, there was Dippy Dave... Dave was an action mainstay around the Ohio area for a few years and was a blast to have around. One of the best I ever seen at getting action started. He didn't play very good but he was pretty good at getting the nuts and then getting the cash. He's on again tonight NBC late night.....

Sure was fun to watch Tuesday night's show. You could see the Hellmuth eruption coming from a mile away.

Was it just me, or was the disrespect at that table visible?

Last I ran into 'Dippy' dave was more than 7 years ago in Charlotte, NC.He was good in getting the spot he wanted and most of the times those spots were insane.

I used to play around Ohio so I'm wondering if this is the same guy.......I don't know how to phrase this any more delicately but does dippy dave look, um, a little bit "special"?

Any video clips ?

The only Dippy dave I knew was from Cleveland. I heard he now makes a living in Vegas playing cards.

Is it him ? What did he do ?

I think he still owes me $700.

It's Dippy, for sure Mike..... Check it out here---> http://www.pokerafterdark.com/this-week and http://www.pokerafterdark.com/players/match_35/David_Peat I missed the last ten minutes or so, so I don't know what his final tally was for the night. He was doing pretty well though.

Not as windy as he used to be but from the clip for tonights show it looks like Dippy may be getting loosened up a bit. I think at times he was having a tough time fading Helmuth and if Dave gets loose he's liable to put Phil on tilt....

Trust me, Dave has all the tools and moves so good when it comes to jawing Phil might explode if they tangle.... The tension was pretty high, pretty much everyone to Phil's left despises him. Should be pretty good if I'm still up that late!

I seen Grady give Dippy Dave a ton of weight at Northfield once I was thinking how could he lose with that spot? The funniest part was Dippy was stuck a few games but he would get sooooooo happy when he sh*t a ball in. Grady was winning and Dave was losing and you never would have guessed that by seeing the reactions. I played in a small poker tournament once with Dippy Dave ($60 entry paid around a dime) I was lucky enough to win en route I knocked him out at the final table. Afterwards he asked if I wanted to play heads up PLO (pot limit Omaha) He put up his tournament winnings which I won, then he asked if I wanted to play pool double or nothing (the poker tourney was in a poolroom/bar ((totally illegal I know)) I played him a race to five for $800 that was my Dippy experiance

Dippy had a line that he used alot playing one pocket that I still use to this day. When he would shoot a flyer he would say "Sometimes ya just gotta go!!!" and then fire.... It was some funny shit!!!! He is definitely one of the most entertaining people to watch and he will send it all in! And like you said, he would play champions like Grady or Cliff. Pretty strong for a C player.....
