Disappointing gesture from Shane

It was a great match. I was there and saw it too.

We can all lose a little class when defeated. Some become complete asses, some simply whipe a little chalk on a rug that was used for the tournament. The rug will be cleaned and used somewhere else whether anyone smeared their tips on it or not.

Shane helped me out on a blackjack table, so I forgive him easily for the chalk on the rug. The lady next to me was hitting 14 and 15 everytime agaist the dealer's bust cards, good 5 and 6 bust cards. Shane was watching. I passed a few "What the hell is she doing?" looks over to Shane, who wasn't playing, but who was just sitting next to the girl. He started coaching her a bit and straightened her out some.

I made a dealer laugh once....I hit a 12 looking at a dealer’s deuce...got a 9...
...dealer made a 20...beat everyone else...guy on my left said...”If you don’t hit, the dealer
would’ve busted.”...told him...”I don’t usually take advice from a player who hits a 14
looking at a dealer’s 6.”

not gonna read 14 pages about a pro pool player wiping his shaft on the floor but...…. SVB has done this for years and NO ONE has complained about this except the OP. Me thinks he needs to get out more...… FML

Yep pretty sure the OP sits down to pee.

Side note, that was at a casino. A building constructed to dupe people who struggle at math, out of their money.

Can we at least agree that using a bar napkin that is no doubt 10 inches away from his chair would be a better overall option in a broadcast event?

I hope you guys have bigger things to be proud of in your life than standing up to pee.

No - personally I don't like the little white fibers coming off the napkin and getting onto my tip.

I used to love playing blackjack up in Lake Tahoe.

Later on my job sent me to Vegas several times a year with two buddies/co-workers. We'd work during the day and hit The Strip at night and here's what "cured" all of us:

We're hopping from casino to casino sitting down wherever conditions looked favorable and we walk into one place and as soon as we come into the table game pit they have one table that says "Dealer's Cards Dealt Up." So -- experienced casino players that we are -- we're looking at each other thinking we've found the Ark of the Covenant.

We sit down and start to play at $25 a hand and what we soon learned was that when the dealer dealt herself a 19 or 20 you were compelled -- against all your years of training and experience and with great gnashing of teeth -- to hit what you'd normally stay on. IOWs, we were often busting out on 17s and 18's and even 19s when the dealer had 20.

After about 20 minutes of abuse we all stood up from the table, looked at each other and said the same thing: "If you got no chance with the dealer's cards up you are really a dead duck with the cards down."
