Disqualifications. How do they affect winning percentages?

So far two players Storm and Kelly have been disqualified for using illegal phenolic tips.Do all the other players automatically assume 8-0 wins in their scheduled matches with these two?

If so, their percentages could go up dramatically and give them a nice advantage in the next rounds.

I think yes, they should get the win, however maybe their percentages should only be affected by actual games played?

Anyone know what really happens?

I was wondering the same thing. Perhaps the IPT staff are wondering as well, and this might explain why those groups seem to be in a holding pattern.

I noticed that holding pattern too.At one time Sandor Tot had an 8-0 win posted under his name.It is now taken off the scoresheet and Ed Kelly just happens to be in his group.

I'm now thinking that the IPT didn't have provisions for such an occurance and they are(perhaps) having an ongoing emergency mid tournament meeting frantically decideing what to do about this apparent dilemna. This is just a guess on my part, however, why else would they post scores and then take them down in Storm's and Kelly's groupings?

After another(scroll down) look here:
http://www.internationalpooltour.com/ipt_content/events/06_wo_8ball_open/viewGroup.asp?G=30

It looks like Tot is given two wins, however, his percentage for his default 8-0 win against Kelly isn't factored into the equation.

If that's the case, yes they get the win, but not the percentage benifits.I also notice that Okumura(same grouping) has been given a win as well, however, his percntage points are only factored into his 4-8 loss.

The way I see it in that group is that Jahnke and Tot are mortal locks to advance and it all comes down to the Dileberto/Okumura match to see who the third is to advance.
