We left Alaska in mid August and are doing a multi state trip. I stopped in Iowa and to discuss a cue project with Pat Diviney. I left my Custom Ebony Hustler with him to have a few pieces of ivory put in the cue.

Pat is the real deal, honest, a real craftsman and a gentlemen. He has made me 3 cues and each project went smoothly.

I looked at many of his cues in various stages of construction and completed cues and could of spent hours doing that, but did not want to take up his time. Pat was very gracious and patient and I really enjoyed meeting him.

He showed me an ebony cue with a black leather wrap and some ivory and copper inlays. The cue was unique and really grabbed my attention. My wife was with me and she was impressed with Pat and the copper decorated cue.

I am now picturing my next cue, it will have ebony, snake wood and copper inlays. It will be beautiful and I will never miss again..............

There are a lot of good things about Iowa besides the pork chops&sweet corn'
I hope you stopped at the local pool rooms...?

No pool rooms.

My few days in Iowa will be spent in Estherville and the Spirit and Okoboji Lakes area visiting relatives and as far as I know there are no pool rooms here or 9' tables.

Estherville had 3 rooms when I lived there as a kid. They had snooker tables and 3 cushion billiards tables. The good old days.

I would have to agree in your assessment of Pat. He is a true gentleman and fine craftsman. I had acquired 3 of his cues through the secondary market and was very impressed with the look and playability of all 3, so I had him convert a one piece Titlist for me. Needless to say, it turned out great! The price was very reasonable, also. It was a pleasure dealing with Pat.
