Do diamond tables make you play better?

I'd say they do. I have a Diamond Pro Am 9 ft at my house with Simonis 860 tournament green felt. I use Aramith Premium TV balls the same set used in the US Open and Masconi Cup. It has made me a better. When I go to a pool hall with commercial tables with those big open pockets I never miss. It also helps when you face off on a Diamond table like they have at Big Tyme Billiards in Houston to be ready to play on one if you have one at home. This way you don't skip a beat in your game. It's like you are at home when competing. Just my opinion...

I also say they do. I went to a big tourney at Steinway Billiards this weekend. Those tables are playing great. So Monday at league I play 8 ball against a guy I generally crush. I couldn't focus to save my life, and our table is *horrible*. It is a 8' valley with some bad rolls and slow. I stink and lost hill hill. Tonight, in a different league we go to a place with all pristine 8' diamonds that play perfect. I seem totally unable to do anything wrong and beat the other teams 7 in 9 ball 75-6. Without question, the fact that the table played so well gave me confidence that my game would function as expected. That counts for a LOT.
