Do it yourself Diamond

Hi guys I have a new Diamond pro ordered and it should be delivered any day. My question is can I put the table together myself with help lifting the slate? I don't mean to offend the guys that do this for a living. I do many things at a pro level and I understand the years of expertise that goes into perfecting a trade. I have put together several tables over the last few years including my last table a Olhausen 9 footer that I sold to a friend. I was a lot of hard work and said I would rather pay to have it done next time. My problem is the person that I have been referred to is about 140 miles away and can only install this on a Saturday and I work on Saturdays. It will cost me around 700 dollars to have this done and I may not be able to do it for weeks after I receive it. I have a mechanical mind a strong back and a work shop with any thing I will need. I also noticed that Diamonds website has a down loadable pdf file that helps you through the process. I have read many posts about the value of a good table mechanic and I don't doubt it but I am in a fix. The rails will already be covered when they arrive so I will not be saddled with that job. Once again I can pay but getting somebody that I know will do a good job is a big question mark at this time. Thanks for any response.

I've put mine together several times. I even built and installed custom cross members. I found the parts to fit well and the table easy to level due to the quality of the slates and the fit of the frame members. No doubt the most level table I've played upon. Last tear down was nearly seven years ago and it still plays great although its ready for bed cloth and rails.

Thanks for the response I would still like to get a pro to do it. It is still at least 3 weeks out so maybe Real King Cobra will swing through here and we can make a deal:D

Actually, that may be a reality...LOL as I'll be leaving the NW shortly heading back to Vegas. When is the table arriving?

I talked to Arron at Diamond yesterday and he told me 2 more weeks and then shipping to Colorado from Indiana. It will be shipped to my house and I am good help. If it works out thats cool and I am flexible on my own schedule with enough notice. I have been following your posts on your different jobs and compared to many this is a piece of cake to carry to it's final resting place (German Chocolate) :D
