Do old Meucci cues play better than the new Meucci’s?

You know, I know we don't always have to, but I try to keep my posts at least somewhat pool related. So one of the ways I've looked at it is the mindset of "playing your best game." When you match up, play the shots you know you execute well and try to stay away from things that you know you need to work on. For me, when I've played the best onepocket of my life I've focused on out-moving my opponents. I knew I wasn't going to run out in most cases so I did a lot of bobbing and weaving. And it worked really well for the most part. The same applies to life. I'm not good at drinking in moderation. So I stopped matching up with liquor or beer. And my Life Fargo rating has improved steadily since. 😁

I wish I could smoke a j lol pit sleep is the best ! But I drive commercially so I need my job more then that weed.
Btw I never drink while playing pool or handling fire arms lol . They don’t mix for me.

I feel ya, brother. While my job doesn't test for weed anymore, I just can't handle it. There was a time in my younger years where I loved it. But the wife and I took a trip to Michigan a few years back and I decided to hit up a dispensary to dance with Greenie one more time. So I got a vape pen and took the teeniest tiniest little hit I could possibly muster. I started to change out of my jeans and into some sweat pants and the next thing I knew, I'm just lying on the bed in by boxers flipping through television channels like a maniac. I got insanely anxious and, for whatever reason, I though the wife was mad at me. That's when I learned that weed, at least in that format, was no longer for me. But to your point, I did sleep like a rock that night. 😂 Hats off to people who enjoy it. I'd much rather hang out with a bunch of stoned people than a bunch of drunk folks.

Everyone is different . I have a beer every day. One before bed to help me sleep. Maybe 2 on a night off. I never get drunk. It’s just helps me relax .. but he couldn’t drink without getting drunk. My dad drank himself to death so I guess it skipped me and went to him.

I know we have this thread off the rails 😂 but they make it to strong now. so I had lost my job for the first time in my adult life and a friend asked me if I wanted to hit his vape.. sure why not. I took one long drag (you can’t even feel it going in your lungs with the vape) and by the time I got to the kitchen to get water I was goneeeee lol my friend was like dude that isn’t york town brown you can’t hit lt like you did the old stuff. NO SHIT! 😂 THANKS FOR THE WARNING

Ask any cop would you rather pull over a drunk or someone stoned they will say stoned every damn time lol

I own a old Meucci that hits a ball very well both shafts are as straight as the day is long , I still use it from time to time even if I prefer a larger diameter shaft than what it has .

To compare it to a new Meucci cue I can't help with that one .

I could be wrong but I think most of the shafts in that era had the long ferrule and whippy shaft.
Every Meucci I remember had those characteristics until I hit with the red and black dot shafts that felt dead to me.
I’m not a Meucci expert.

I was using a Heubler, Palmer, and Paradise Titleist back then.
We bought, sold, and traded cues like baseball cards.

The days when I could grab one off the wall and play just as well are pretty much over now. Good memories. I always played better than I was when looking back....😂

Coming from a 14:1 background, I try to avoid banks, combos and massè's, but they've gotta be in your arsenal. There are some shots I'd rather jump than do any of those three.

If you got a good Red Dot, they were Gold.

Every time I read this I have to comment that archers are not going to use shitty arrows. I know people that are into competitive archery and they very much care about the arrows they use. Cues play different depending on many factors so unless your a svb getting a cue that feels and plays right for your game matters.

The most nonsensical thing I hear people say and It will never stop annoying me lol
