My answer is C. It depends. In theory it is better to have an organization that represents a group than not have representation. But if the organization's sole purpose is to sustain itself then why bother. It shall be interesting to see who the new president of the USBA is and what direction he or she wants to take it. I have spoken with people to get their take on the status of caroms in the USA and who/what they want to see going forward. Things are easier said than done but here is my wish list.

1. The organization could be more inclusive. Most any rule that prohibits people from being included should be changed. Example: You are welcome to be included whether you're a U.S.citizen or not. Any carom player of any origin, ethnic background, or gender etc. is welcome with open arms. Any carom player or carom enthusiast is encouraged to be included.

2. The format for the USBA Nationals could be revamped and opened up to more players. Perhaps having the same venue each year is more manageable, predictable, and economical. Every player knows that the Nationals is held in Lower Slavovia (hypothetically) each year. Encourage younger players and women by subsidizing part of their entry fee.

3. Business sponsorship could be one of the main priorities. Money infusion can't hurt.

I will leave it there and hope for constructive conversation. It's time for me to watch the finals of the World Cup in Turkey on Kozoom. The best value for my money. For me a subscription to Kozoom is part of my responsibility to help promote and enjoy caroms.

I've really gotta get my subscription to kozoom, I know its not alot I am just always getting sidetracked

I would vote yes
I know there is usba,
Seems like there's not much enthusiasm to promote the game

I do my part by introducing anyone an everyone to it
Whether they are life long pool players or casual players

C ...Depend . If you want to send a player from USA to Compete in UMB Events,,,Then you need an Organization to Represent Caroms in the USA .

If you just want to play carom in USA ..just find a table and someone to play with, or simple announce you want a tournament in the billiard room and just do it Or find Die Hard promoters willing to promoter Carom and support them..

4 Ball Carom in the USA have no Organization to Represent Caroms in the USA . And its doing better than 3C...which answer your #1 question .Steve
