Do you carry your own cue ball to pool halls??

I have most all of em, and Always try and find out/practice with, the ball being used in the next event I play in.

I keep a Measle ball in my pool case for all the reasons many have described already. I do take my set of Aramith Tournaments if I am planning on playing 14.1 (which is often) or 1P, as good racks are essential for both these games and worn/mismatched balls don't rack as well. I also have a foldable V-rack (https://www.thevrack.com/) to compensate for the crappy wooden racks which get beat up and sticky. Although the plastic Diamond racks work well.

I've just been getting back in pool the last 4 months or so. I put in quite a few hours at a local pool hall that had some old predator cloth and decent predator balls. After months of practicing I just couldn't understand why I couldn't shoot anywhere as good as I used to. then a few days ago they put new cloth, not sure of the brand, probably Predator, and new predator balls that have a different color 4 ball. I started shooting as good as I used to. I think the pockets 4.25" are playing easier and the balls aren't grabbing each other as much. The only problem is the cloth is grey now and blue chalk makes nasty marks. So I have to user thier grey Master's chalk and get some other chalks. The green Taom V10 chalk is playing clean. If the balls get worn in and I'm playing crappy again I'll bring my own balls.
