Do you ever call BS on "only one"

I see a lot of posts whether it's in the sale section or the main forum about their stick being the "only one"

This is the only (insert wood here) that (insert cue maker) made.

This is the only case with (insert material) and (insert poor dead animal)

Is this out of bravado, what the person is actually being told, or something else?

So like that is a rare bird .. and how did that particular species survive the hurricanes of the recent past ?

Although there are a few specific 1 of a kinds that do get commisioned through the maker and buyer .
So it's not unheard of in MHO .

My playing cues are both one of a kind cues, custom made for me to my specs. I don't think it is uncommon at all........

Sorry that I didn't elaborate, but I have a feeling you know what I was meaning to say.

If you change the color of the linen wrap 1 shade is it a "one of a kind?" maybe to you, but in the overall scheme of things I highly doubt it.
