Home Remedy, you must catch the itchy scratchy regulary? Do you have the recipe, just in case ;-)

Anything anyone calls me usually has the word "sweet" in it. "Sweet Marissa" comes from the Allman Brothers song, "Sweet Melissa". Close enough, I guess :p My fave so far is Sweetness, though, but that's not from pool.

My nickname with the players is Shitter. I got it from Niels, not just because I always shit balls in on him when we were playing but because he use to have to come to work with me on the weekends. I worked at a water treatment plant or Niels likes to reffer to it as the Shit Plant.

Niels - The Dyke

Shawn - My Little Poney

Mika - Mai Tai

Corey - Killer

Fabio - Fabulous or I can't believe its not butter

New Guy is my nickname. :D

The APA team I used to play for in Hoboken was a lot of fun. All of my teammate's significant others would have a girls night out (which involved watching the OC and drinking a lot of wine) while the team would play. After the show was over, all of the girls would come down to the bar to watch our last 2-3 matches and cheer for us. The first time I was introduced to the head cheerleader, it went a little something like this;

Teammate "Jami, I want to introduce you to the new guy Mi...."
Jami (in a loud voice) "NEW GUY!!"
Cheerleading Squad of 8 drunk girls "NEW GUY!! NEW GUY!!!......"

The name just stuck. Jami didn't know my real name for a couple of months. :p

To this day, the majority of the players in Hoboken only know me as New Guy. When I start a tab at the bars I used to play at, the bartender always puts it under New Guy. My friend from Hoboken even made me a t-shirt that says... you guessed it... "New Guy". :D

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, I was occasionally referred to as Little Scott. Given that I'm 6-2 and haven't weighed under 200 since high school, I have to assume it referred to the size of my game. Easy Money might be appropriate, too! :p  :D

Scott
Seems like you get a nick name "a long time ago" and its part of you. I still have people call me "Little Jackie Madden" and they don't even know why (they are under 50) - this moniker was given to me about 45 years ago by the old pool players. When I was about 14 or so, my mom would call the pool room asking for "Jackie" and since I was a little guy I got tagged with "Little Jackie Madden your Mom is calling you". And over the years I picked up new ones. I know if someone is from AZ or CA just by the handle they call me.

LOL You'll have to share that one with me, Terry! :D

My poolplaying friend named me "Buddy" a couple of years ago. And the name has stuck ever since. I bear some resemblence to a certain pro in America, because I also have some weight on me and I'm quite tall at 6'5". And also because I'm nice and everybody's buddy :p

Some angry facial expressions (I've heard) and my playing style (clever and avoiding showing off) are also similar to this certain pro.

My nick is "Psycho"

I had a break of 8 years and when I returned to the game all the other fartheads still did call me lke that, although I told them not do do so...

senseless, if I enter the hall : I still get called psycho....

A couple years ago I went to a Tournament in Slidell Louisiana. When they were doing the calcutta it seemed like everyone had a nickname. There was West Bank Charlie, Fishhook, Li'l Sal and a whole lot more that I can't remember but it seemed like everyone had a name. Some of you Louisiana guys like The "Greenfelt" writer need to chime in. I'm sure he's got a whole bunch of them.

Guess it depends on what we're doing :p

I'm not even going to comment on that one.... :)

I need a nickname,.. just can't find one that works for me.

Chris Cooper just doesn't match up with anything,.... although some people at work call me "Super" Kuper. I don't know why.

actually the name of the song is just, "Melissa" for someone who says they're a southern angel, you sure don't know your southern rock.

Mine was given to me from my brother in law.

One night we were playing 9 ball and 4 games in a row the 9 ball had rolled close to a pocket. I ended up cheesing in the 9 on all the games. First he started calling me "Cheese Head" then "Johnny Cheese" which turned to "Johnny Velveeta" hence the name "Johnny V"

Nicknames, hmmmm...

Well when I first started League Play, (Fall '03), I got the Nickname '5-Killer', pretty self explanatory, but now I'm a SL5...but back in the day people called my Dad 'Jersey Sam', so I kinda got stuck with 'Lil Sam' or 'Lil Jersey', as you can see from my forum name that's morphed into 'Jersey', so there you have it...(Born and raised in Jersey, BTW), now in The ATL. but Jersey is Home and the nickname has stuck.

nickname

i have had the name "STICK" for about 50 yr. very few people know my real name. "OLD MAN STICK"
