A good pool room is about the least racist spot you'll find.

I hate racism

Least racist spot you can find?
Not where I live (Kentucky) here it's pure white, redneck, racist, tatooed, trailer-livin' good ole' boys!

That's from an Eddie Murphy movie where he falls in love with Halle Berrie's character. IIRC Arsenio Hall delivered those lines. :)

Fats...What movie was that? The only movie I know of that had both Murphy and Arsenio Hall was Coming to America.

It's a bunch of hooey.. white balls were always the stricken balls in billiards. Probably because you didn't have to bleach them when they were ivory turned, therefore making them easier and cheaper to purchase, as opposed to a "colored" ball. So when "pocket" billiards was invented, the white cue ball was probably just a natural selection. You had colors, and stripes. The eight ball being black just makes sense when you think about it.
I think the black bowling ball knocking down rednecked whitey's is kind of funny. I never saw it that way till the post. But again it makes sense, since bowling alley's back in the day were dimly lit. White pins were probably easier to see.

JV

1 ball is yellow + 8 and 9 ball is yellow and white
2 ball is blue +8 = 10 ball blue and white

Do this for 7 balls and you are left with the 0 or white cue ball + 8 = black ball or eight.

Somebody likes color coordination, maybe it is really a woman's game or is that the rainbow coalition -- damn here we go again.

Senator Craig where are you we need some guidance from our leaders.
