We are debating it, Stan.

At a keyboard? And How can you debate on a topic that you are so very weak with?

I am sorry. I have been working visually and physically with CTE at an actual table for nearly 10 years. Pool is a visual motor game and that is the real intellectual domain from which pool should be presented.

This is precisely why you are so threatened.....as you fear that CTE will upset your math logic approach. And it is going to! Count on that! You can not stop me from spreading CTE and it's going to get much worst for you and your tag team in 2016 and for the coming years.

And....thank you too for being a major driving force for my CTE work!

I still take a peek at the replies of the last page every few days. The thread stopped being interesting a long while ago though, if it ever was.

These same thing has been going on for decades, literally.

They are nothing if not consistent.

As long as they don't get too personal and too viscous, its an entertaining diversion for a few minutes.

Thing is, they all have a ton to offer the forum. Its just this topic that has its death grip on them all. The thread hasn't gotten killed, after 1400+ posts, that's a record for the topic I would think. At least a modern day record :p

Entertaining for a few minutes? More like a few days and days and days. What kind of mental bent finds this entertaining for that long? It's scary.

It's like some tv series, you can come back to it again after several hundred posts and not have to worry about what you missed.

Since you think that, you must have some basis for thinking it. So, why don't you show us one shot where that would be the case? Should be easy since you believe it actually is quite common.

Video proves NOTHING in the abstract realm on whether or not one is employing their subjective perception of a shot or if it is being shot strictly based on objective visuals.

The fact that you & others think that a video would or could show that, indicates that you (& others) really have no real understanding of the issue at hand nor the 'parameters' involved.

The onus of proof is on those that contend that CTE is a totally objective 'system' when there is no logical rational common sense bases for that assertion & no such explanation has ever been given.

You have a great day.

Yes, I see what you are saying. You are talking about a situation where, say the ETA/CTE visual will pocket the ball if you do no pivot. I think the answer, like Straightpool said, is that you have chosen the wrong visuals if you can't do the pivot and still make the shot. In the example I sent where Stan hits a straight in shot, he shows how he has to intentionally stand his body to the side of the shot line so that when he gets down on it he can pivot the cue straight into the shot line. It's like you have to get your head in the wrong spot so that you can overcompensate the other way with the cue. That's where I see the commonality between the straight in shot and the one you talk about that happens to be a cut shot.

Dan,

So... how does one do as you say based on a true objective visual with no subjectivity & why would one to do so if one is already on the shot line?

It seems as though you are trying to explain what CTE/Stan would says & not looking at it from outside looking in on an objective basis.

That seems to be what StraightPool is doing too.

Best 2 Ya.

Can we have a Wei table of CTE ?
Like the different shots and some explanation ?
I'm serious.
Wouldn't that make it a little easier ?

You are off on a tangent again trying to avoid answering the question to your statement. You don't need a video, just give a diagram of any shot that can be made with just the two visuals and no pivot. Stop avoiding and back up what you say for a change of pace.

You are keen on the phrase TOTALLY OBJECTIVE. I challenge YOU to locate where I used that specific phrasing. And if you can locate those two words credited to me, then let's look at its contextual meaning.

I stand by my phrasing that I have always had in place on justcueit, my website, concerning the objectivity of CTE PRO ONE.
