Be careful what you wish for.....
To answer your question, "Hell yeah". But it's not going to happen. It's probably for the best anyway. My wife doesn't appreciate the gambling aspect of pool for sure. She's too tight with money to risk anything, anytime. We go to the casino every now and then to eat at the buffet and will play a little. I give her $40 while my son and I go play a little blackjack every 6 months or so. We meet an hour later and she's still got the $40. lol
Besides the banter in the pool room can get pretty vulgar and just plain crude. It is the way of some pool rooms, unfortunately. Add in a few haters, a POS here and there and a gossiper or two and you can have some volatile scite going on.
I'm lucky enough to have an angel of a wife that has tolerated my pool addiction for 38 years. There aren't many like her, I guarantee.....
My advice for a lasting relationship is the set up some guidelines and stick to them. I have one friend who promised that he would only play pool on Monday and Thursday nights. He plays well enough that he could win tournaments but doesn't play in them because he promised his wife, Monday and Thursday only. He's doing real good.
If I had it to do over, I would have a pool table in my house in a large room partially separated from the main house where I could bang balls to the wee hours of the night. Every now and then, I would sneak out and like when Conan was asked, "Conan! What is best in life?" and he replied, "To crush your enemies -- See them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women!"
