From about 1965. Paid $125 for the cue w/2shafts. The wrap looks better in person. Ferrules are Ivory. Doc bought tusks for about $35.00

Curious about the ring in the middle of the forearm. What can you tell me about it?

Thanks for the pic. you don't see many of his cues.
 
Rings are Plexiglass(I believe). Doc's best and my favorites where the Ebony with stainless steel inlays and rings. I sold a DF Cocobolo cue($75.) to buy the current Rosewood. Real sorry I did not keep it. I do not play with this cue....I never really enjoyed it...but the pride of ownership is priceless. I was at Doc's house in Feasterville, Pa and watched the cue in the progress stages.
