Does anybody actually LIKE the Sardo Tight-Rack?

So, any positive reviews or alternate opinions (negative or otherwise)?

I have nothing but good things to say about the Sardo rack. It racks them tightly and quickly, and doesn't leave huge dents in the cloth that people say they do. At least, not on my cloth.

As far as the dents and divots go, just take a look at any non-Sardo table first, and you'll see a mess off ruts and divots. You won't see that on my table.

I appreciate the suggestion, Fred (and I'm glad to hear from someone who likes the thing), but if you took a look at any of the local tables on the island, you'd think someone had taken chip shots off of 'em.

I've already got the Sardo, so I'm definitely gonna try it out.

I use one at home for every rack... it's great for home use when you want to spend less time giving youself a good rack and more time actually playing...

I've owned one since I installed my table and I LOVE it. Very consistent racks. Sometimes it doesnt work and you have to readjust and press once more and then it's fine.

It also watches all the balls even when you dont. When you just look at the top 3 or 6 to make sure they're touching.. odds are with this rack all of them will be down to the last ball which is nice.

Sardo + X-Breaker + D player = ridiculous breaks.

As far as divots go I have none yet.. I dont use a spot either though. I have a little tiny dot from a black sharpie as the spot and that's it.

Last week I was in Los Angeles for an Anthony Robbins Seminar (which btw was much much better than I ever imagined it would be) and on the last night before i flew out I went to Hard Times. Hemmah, King Kong, Tang and few others were there playing. I got on the front table and it had only a Sardo Rack. I had never used one before so Hemmah came over and gave me the lowdown on how it works. I played about an hr and during that hour none of the racks the Sardo gave were anything close to what could be achieved with a $10 wooden rack and two hands. Granted, I was a first time user of the Sardo, but I found it to be difficult, it took ALOT more time to rack than a wooden triangle rack and holy moly...the kind of EL SLUGGO racks it delivered surprised the hell out of me.

I think a lot of it depends on the table. If the table and felt is beat to death by people tapping balls and ruining the spot and the felt is fake simonis aka carpet then yea putting a sardo on it wont work. Also in pool halls the balls can also be different sizes due to the wear they go through. But if it's a new table or a respectable table with good equipment then the sardo will work wonders.
