Does anybody shoot without taking warmup strokes?

Like this video of Tony Drago? The fastest century-break ever taped:

i'm alot like Drago but at a much lower speed, i play real good or "absolute rubbish" to quote Drago. I was talking to him about it and he said that to me, he is of course a MUCH better player than me but we are similar in the way that when we catch a gear its real high compaired to the low gear, I'm only compairing the concept of the bad to worse thing, i wish I played half as good as Drago does. He played great at the Mosconi cup this year. he told me some days he cant run a rack, other days its effortless and he dosent know why, i'm the same, and I have never been able to figure out why, I cant tie it down to sleep, mood, desire to play, etc. some days it just dosent work and others it does, he just has the same problem at a much higher level, he is a nice guy to chat with, i dont know anyhing about him except for the few encounters at the Mosconi cup, and what he told me.

So who on this board can tell us the two reasons why we might want to take a warm-up stroke?.....SPF=randyg

I'm sure Cue-Tech has the final word on The Two Reasons(TM), but I mentioned a couple that might be on the long list:

Silly Me:
...warmup strokes should be for finetuning and speed control rehearsal
