Does anyone do offset downpoints? Double Splice?

Im dreaming here a littlebit, and cant remember seeing a cue like the one I am thinking of.

I love Up and Down points, but I can't remember seeing one where the "down" points were not lined up with the "up" points.

I don't know if down points are typically spliced or inlayed, but I was thinking a really cool design would be maybe like a 4 pointer where the down points were offset from the up points. I was thinking a double splice with the bottom splice rotated in relation to the top would be a cool (and labor intensive and expensive) way of doing this.

Is anyone already doing this?

I don't recall seeing any either, but it certainly can be done by any competent cue maker. Buy yourself something nice and unique with your tax return. :thumbup:

I seem to remember seeing another recently, but can't seem to place it.

Brunswick also outsourced the creation of some of these in the 70s, but they are very cheaply made, and unfortunately junk. I thought the OP just wanted points in the butt sleeve that were off set from, and pointing in the opposite direction as, the points in the forearm.

You may be right about the original question. I just always thought the double-spliced forearm had a neat look.
Don't know about offset reverse points in the butsleeve.
