it is a pool cue that has a hand writen name penned on the Ivory butt

One of ny customers is a stroke victim (both pool and health) and wants me to find out about the cue it was left to him by his GrandFather,He wants it cleaned BUT I told him Iwould NOT ruin the patina until I had some input before I start using my cleaning (no sandpaper) and as bad as we need business I will not screw folks just to make some chump change
